Omni-directional Microphones
The DR-05's high quality omnidirectional microphones will pick up even the most ambient sounds from the source whether you're close or far away. Microphone design and placement have been well though-out, making sure to highly reduce handling noise and maintain the highest quality of sound as the prime focus of the unit. Omni patterns are much less prone to picking up wind noises than cardioid patterns, ensuring the DR-05 as the ideal candidate for outdoor and vocal sound gathering. The microphones can withstand sounds up to 125dB SPL for those loud practices or live shows and yet still have the sensitivity for a docile, quiet setting. The DR-05 has over 92dB signal to noise ratio, under 0.05% total harmonic distortion and 20Hz to 40kHz response (-1/+3dB) at 96kHz/24-bit resolution for simple, clean sound quality.

The ear-buds have a frequency range of: 20hz-20kHz and a sensitivity range of 100dB±5dB to make sure that you know exactly what you're recording; and their great for your phone/mp3 player too!
